Artisanal sourdough and uncommon wine
Voisin, pronounced [vwah-zahn] is French for "Neighbour". It's how we started; selling bread to our neighbours and the hope of being neighbourly runs deep in all we do.
- Thu, 30 JunJohannesburgLukas is one of the best winemakers in the country! He received the push he needed to go out on his own after a harvest abroad and a chance encounter with a '89 Domaine de la Chevalerie, since then Chenin and Cab Franc has been his kryptonite. After 5 vintages his wine continue to improve every year
Voisin is a micro bakery & boutique wine store in the heart of Joburg. All the ingredients are locally sourced: traceable stone ground flour from Drakensberg, Prieska & Swartland. Hand harvested sea salt from Velddrif. Filtered water and natural leaven. It takes about 36 hours from start to finish and no two loaves are the same.
On the wine side, we specialise in uncommon and exciting wines from South African producers. We support winemakers who emphasise organic viticulture and natural winemaking resolutely. Wine is firstly an agricultural product, good care of the earth should be the foundation. We have close relationships with all the producers we support, stemming from years in the fine wine market of South Africa.
